Each tag is lovingly restored and polished using authentic decommissioned British coins, sanded smooth on one side and engraved with your dog’s name, contact details, and even a stylized head-shot or silhouette. We use carefully selected UK coins based on size and weight to suit Small, Medium, Large, and XL dogs. Each coin provides a substantial, durable tag that stands out with character and history.
Small / Medium – Two Shilling (Florin) & Halfpenny options

Each coin we use is genuine, recycled British currency — a conversation piece and functional ID tag all in one.
Important Copper Oxidation Note
Many of our tags are made from copper-based coins (e.g., pennies, halfpennies, florins with copper content). Copper naturally oxidises over time when exposed to air and moisture, especially on the sanded surface where the original mint finish has been removed. This can lead to:
  • A pearlescent or rainbow sheen
  • Darkening or patination
  • Surface colour shifting over the first couple of weeks
This change is natural and not a defect — many customers enjoy the evolving patina for its unique, aged character. However, if you prefer your tag to stay bright and untarnished, we recommend you opt for one of the nickel (silver) based coins since they aren’t as effected by this process compared to the copper coins.

Inquiries, Illuminated

  • Each piece is curated in limited numbers, refined by artisan hands. Our hands to be precise. Each pet accessory is made by us and this is where Kaz, our leather specialist, is in her element!

  • Whilst we most certainly do not hang around, don’t expect anything in too much of a rush. Especially if it is made to order. We endeavour to produce our accessories as quickly as we can but every piece of leather is hand-cut and hand-stitching takes a while. From the point of sale to dispatch, it is usually between 7-10 days.

  • The tags are obviously when it with your details. We’re all ears when it comes to customising leather leads and collars… If it’s within our remit, we’ll make it happen. Just let us know what you have in mind.

  • Our wood is often salvaged from the wild, reclamation yards and barn finds. Our metal coins are genuine decommissioned British coins (not freshly mined alternatives). Our leather is always sourced within the UK from British leather merchants. Our hardware is always sourced from Abbey England, by Royal Appointment.

  • Customised goods understandably can’t be returned unless they are faulty or damaged in transit. Non customised goods can be returned within 14 days of purchase.
